We take a comprehensive and preventative approach to your long-term skin health. Once we have evaluated your skin and addressed your immediate needs, we are happy to discuss treatment options that can repair areas of damage.

When combined with daily sun protection and moisturizing, skin repair and aesthetic treatments can contribute to long-term health not only for the destruction of pre-cancerous cells, but also to repair damage from trauma or chronic sun exposure. At Derm Health, we offer:

  • Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)
  • Chemical Peels
  • CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing
  • Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL)
  • OPTIC
  • Wrinkle Relaxing Injectables
  • Other aesthetic procedures, upon request by established patients

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels can improve the skin’s appearance and result in smoother and brighter skin with fewer blemishes. A Derm Health professional applies a compound to the skin to exfoliate the top layers in a uniform controlled fashion to allow new healthier skin to form in its place. Peels are used to reduce age spots and areas of sun damage, reduce fine lines, even the texture, and color of the skin, reduce the appearance of large pores, and improve scarring. Derm Health offers both superficial (light) peels and deep (stronger) peels, to customize the approach to each patient, depending on the desired repair.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT), or blue light treatment, uses a photosensitive agent and a blue light to kill pre-cancerous cells. The blue light treatment includes a series of exposures to high-intensity blue light in the clinic. A Derm Health professional applies a topical photosynthesizing agent to the skin an hour or more before the treatment. This chemical is absorbed into the pre-cancerous cells and certain glands and when combined with the blue light, the cells are destroyed. While PDT treatments in our clinic are focused on destroying pre-cancerous cells, these treatments typically result in aesthetic benefits as well.

CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing

As a comprehensive dermatology practice, we offer the state of the art resurfacing laser treatment – the Lumenis AcuPulse CO2 laser. The Derm Health approach to laser treatments is that they are part of the treatment process, not an isolated procedure. It is essential that we first examine your skin and address any existing concerns. Once existing issues are treated, laser resurfacing is an advanced approach that can address pre-cancerous conditions and help repair damaged or naturally aging skin.

The AcuPulse is a complete ablative resurfacing laser and is the gold standard for improving your skin’s appearance by repairing sun-damaged skin, uneven coloring, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, and scars. This laser delivers focused microscopic columns of ablative energy to a fraction of the skin surface, leaving intact areas of the skin to help faster healing than traditional resurfacing. These microscopic channels trigger new collagen and elastic fiber production to significantly improve your skin’s elasticity, thickness, and appearance.

Derm Health will customize the depth and strength of your laser treatment for your skin’s needs, to address everything from deep wrinkles and scarring to fine lines and texture. Results are typically visible after one treatment and improvement continues for months afterward.

Pulsed Dye Laser

The VBeam Perfecta PDL laser is used to remove discolorations, including rosacea, sun spots, age spots, and other vascular and pigmented abnormalities such as poikiloderma, port wine stains, and facial and leg veins. The Perfecta has also been proven to treat scars, stretch marks, warts, and psoriasis.

The system uses Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of light into targeted areas of the skin. There, it’s absorbed by the blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas, removing the targeted imperfections.

Improves skin appearance of:

  • Acne
  • Rosacea
  • Vascular Birthmarks
  • Scars
  • Burns
  • Stretchmarks

Wrinkle Relaxing Injectables

Derm Health offers a variety of injectable options to established patients to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, including Botox® and Xeomin®. These injections temporarily relax the muscles that form the wrinkles, generally in facial areas.
